Many people wondered what the meaning of Jeremy Lin and Landry Fields' pre-game routine. Both players are devout Christians. Landry Fields' twitter account shows him praising God and actively giving the glory to God long before @JLin7 signed up to the Knicks. That and the fact that both players used to know each other in LA when they were young, shows something divine was already in the making.
Their pregame routine shows both putting on glasses, Fields opening up the Bible, Lin flipping through the pages, putting on a tie and then pointing upwards to God. It is not just a tribute to God but it is also a reminder to both players that their audience is God and to play for His Glory.
Perhaps God placed Lin in the Knicks in answer to Landry Fields' prayers... only Landry can answer this one for us :)
